Hold nothing back from the Lord

Hey!

This week was great. My comp and I are working hard, and I just found out that I'll get home for Christmas! This week we worked a bit more with our investigator J, who is just getting better and better. He works with his 3 uncles cutting down trees (lumberjacks? trabajan en forestal) and the four of them just changed jobs to be able to go to church evey Sunday. Now J can come and we are working on getting him ready for baptism.

When we put our faith in the Lord, holding nothing back and putting Heavenly Father 100% as our top priority, He blesses us and gives us more power than we can imagine (See D&C 4). It's really true. As I work towards the goal of being a full consecrated missionary, God takes care of all our needs and good desires.

My Testimony

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can honestly say, however, that my faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ and from fervent prayer. I have asked my Heavenly Father many times to know what is right and if what I learn at church is true. I know that God hears and answers my prayers. After I read the Book of Mormon for the first time I prayed to know of its truth. The answer didn't come immediately, but over time I felt a calm sense of peace and joy. There was no doubt in my heart that it was true. Now every time I open it, I feel the same overwhelming confirmation. The same experience has come to me for many different aspects of the gospel. I know that God is our Father and that He loves each of us individually. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He suffered and died for my sins. I know that the Bible is true. I know that my family can live together forever and that God has a plan for each of us.
